Navigators Model Railway Group

Established 2013 with more than 150 years experience!

The Sand House is now complete and in place on the shed board.

The building started life as a Cooper Craft Pooley weighbridge kit that I modified, in particular the loading door on the back side and removal of the weighbridge of course, and the chimney was scratch-built by Nick the Kit from Wills plastic brick sheet, and painted by Harris the Brush.

The loading door side will actually never be seen from the front of the layout, but since the building was not to be a part relief I thought it was worth doing, plus learning how to stitch plastic kits.

Allowance has been made by drilling a hole through the baseboard before planting to add a lamp/burner effect at a later date.
